Contractor
May Gurney Civil Engineering Ltd.
Site
Hunstanton Prom sea defenses.
Client Environment
Agency.
Date Jan -
March 2001.
Description
Tide times, a weight limit on the promenade itself and concrete which
required a resistance to sulphate attack were all issues for
consideration when The Concrete Company undertook this contract on the
Norfolk coastline. There was a further complication in that the work
had to be completed before the prom re opened at Easter 2001.
We dedicated our plant at Fakenham to this contract for
the duration of the daily pours. Both May Gurney and The Concrete
Company worked closely together and the contract was completed 2 weeks
early from a 2 week late start.
